SF SUGO - 2023
The championship lead slipped away from Liam at Sugo following a poor race strategy by his Team Mugen.
After qualifying sixth, Liam made up two places on the opening lap and moved into the lead after everyone else made their compulsory pit stop, but the decision to pit 10 laps from the end put him down in seventh when he returned to the track.
Despite making up two places on the run to the chequered flag, and recording the fastest race laps on fresh rubber, he was unable to catch the front-runners and finished fifth by two-tenths of a second, almost grabbing another place at the finish line.
