Liam’s first introduction to the bespoke, high-performance car manufacturer came in February 2018 when Rodin Cars founder, David Dicker, invited Liam to drive his Dallara Formula 3 racecar on the private Rodin Cars test track located at Mt Lyford, ahead of Liam leaving for Europe that same year to test and race in the ADAC Formula 4 championship. In January 2021, Rodin Cars announced a sponsorship partnership with Liam that allowed him to secure a drive in the Formula 2 championship, with UK-based team, HiTech GP, as part of their two-car Red Bull Junior team.
In July 2021 Liam drove the Rodin FZED on its European debut at Donington Park, UK and wowed onlookers and the media.
“It was great to be back in the Rodin FZED. I’d forgotten just how fast the car is and straight away I felt comfortable and realised how manageable the car is to drive close to the limit. I didn’t want to stop and nearly did more laps than I was allowed.”
A month later Liam was back for another demonstration run. The car is based at Rodin Cars impressive new showroom at the Donington Park facility.
Rodin Cars was the leading sponsor with Red Bull on the 2021 and 2022 Formula 2 cars and continued in 2023 as Liam’s leading sponsor.
